THE latest County Gazette reveals that the new council has deferred determination on the proposed construction of a cancer aftercare facility on part of the Galmington playing-fields, which were gifted in perpetuity to the community.

Readers with long memories will recall that the consortium’s original application allocated land for a secondary school, and that the policy of 25% Affordable Housing was overturned, to require only 17.5%.
