THE first act of Taunton's three summer nights of live music has been revealed.

Live in Somerset is set to take place in Vivary Park once again for three consecutive nights from Friday, July 10.

McFly has been announced as the Friday night act of the star-studded weekend, which has previous seen the likes of Madness, Tom Jones, and Bananarama.

The band, made up of Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter, Danny Jones and Harry Judd, will be touring from April 2020, following their come-back show in London's 02 later this month selling out in minutes.

The popular boy band, which formed in 2003, boast seven UK number-one singles, five top-ten albums, six sell-out tours and ten million records sold worldwide.

They will play their best-loved mega-hits such as All About You, Obviously, Star Girl, One for the Radio and Shine a Light.

The three nights of entertainment will be brought to Taunton by concert promoter LCC Live.

Tickets for McFly in Taunton will go on sale on Friday, November 15 at 9am.

Announcements regarding the other two nights of live music in Taunton will be made in the coming months.
