THE decision of Somerset Cricket Club to only provide a digital copy of the yearbook rather than a physical paper copy is deeply disappointing.
The yearbook has always formed part of the membership package.
The book is a useful review of Somerset’s season and along with statistics and scores provides a permanent and useful record for members.
It is particularly sad that the decision has been taken following a season in which the club won its first trophy since 2005.
We are continually told that Somerset is a members club yet this decision to take away a part of a membership benefit has been taken without any consultation or explanation.
I urge all members to contact the club to make their feelings known on this issue.
