A BRIDGWATER woman has spoken of her anger after her car and burger trailer was broken into twice within a matter of weeks.

Teresa Lovell's vehicle was first broken into on Friday, October 25 where the criminals left a broken window on the car, cash tins were stolen and food and drink taken from the burger trailer.

Having had the damage repaired, Teresa was then devastated when her neighbour came to tell her it had happened again on Wednesday morning (November 13).

"They smashed the passenger-side window again and ransacked the inside of the car," Ms Lovell said.

"They managed to break the locks again and got into the trailer but this time nothing was taken from it."

Mrs Lovell said: "I called the police again, and was told the same as before.

"They won't come out because there is nothing they can do."

Ms Lovell's said her partner, who has been diagnosed with leukaemia, had taken the break-ins badly.

"We bought the trailer as a source of income but it is now off the road again until we can get the window repaired," Ms Lovell said.

Avon and Somerset Police confirmed a vehicle in Eastwood Close was broken into at 2.30am on Wednesday, November 13.

A spokesman for the police said: "A handbag and a purse was stolen.

"There is no CCTV and no witnesses.

"The matter has been filed pending further information being provided.

"Anyone able to help is asked to call us quoting reference 5219262573

"We would remind vehicle owners to ensure that their vehicles are alarmed and all items of value are removed from the vehicle and not left on show."
