FORMER LibDem Party leader Sir Vince Cable has been in Taunton this week to back Gideon Amos's campaign in the General Election.
Sir Vince, who has stood down as an MP, was taken to Bridgwater and Taunton College and The Planet cafe in the town.
His visit comes in the week after Conservative Prime Minister Boris Johnson visited West Monkton Primary School to support Rebecca Pow's attempt to win the Taunton Deane seat she has held since 2015.
Labour's Liam Canham launched his campaign with a stall in Taunton High Street at the weekend.
And county and district councillor John Hunt entered the fray to stand as an Independent candidate in the Thursday, December 12 poll.
