CHRISTMAS is officially underway in Taunton after a fun-filled family day kicked off the festivities.
Crowds flocked to the town throughout the day to enjoy the WinterFest, with activities and entertainment for everyone.
And the Christmas lights were switched on in the Orchard Centre ahead of the town's official lighting up.
Former Somerset and England cricketer Marcus Trescothick was on the stage to push the plunger to set off the festive display of lights.
