A LIBERAL Democrat supporter has condemned the culprits who burned his election posters in the gardens of two party faithful in Wellington.
The incidents took place in the town overnight and left one of the victims "terrified".
The victim, who does not wish to be named, woke this morning to see melted plastic on the wall three metres from her home.
Fortunately there was no damage to her property and it appears the fire soon fizzled out.
LibDem member Keith Wheatley said: "We've had petty incidents before, but this is a different level.
"The victim was terrified. It's a pretty disgusting thing to do and it needs getting out there so people can see what's happening.
"It's intimidating. It's criminal vandalism.
"The victim wasn't aware of it at the time but they're shaken by it all."
