A PEAKY Blinders themed detective game is set to take place in Taunton.

On Saturday, January 18, CluedUpp games is bringing the live-action outdoor activity to town, in what's described as a giant version of the board game Cluedo, crossed with Pokemon-Go.

Transporting you back to the 1920's, this murder-mystery event will see more than 100 teams compete to catch a killer.

The murder mystery game unfolds via the app, and the game is self-guided. Players will need to hunt all over town locating virtual witnesses, solving clues and eliminating suspects as they go.

There's also prizes to be won, as teams of six can dress up to get involved, pose for the best team picture, and pick the best team name.

The latest storyline 'Sneaky Finders' is inspired by the BBC hit drama series Peaky Blinders and as such detective teams taking part will be tasked with solving a complex murder case set in the 1920s.

CluedUpp’s founder, Tref Griffiths, said: “We are huge Peaky Blinders fans here at CluedUpp and with a new series due to start again soon what better time to release a game inspired on the era.

"We can’t wait to see if our detectives are up to the challenge of solving our hardest case yet.”

Tickets for the event are on sale now and it is expected that only 100 team places will be initially released, each place costing £36 per team of up to six adults.

Children and dogs play for free but the game is not suitable for the little detectives to play on their own.
