POLICE say they believe they have identified a man they wanted to speak to following an assault in Taunton.
They issued an appeal yesterday (Tuesday) with CCTV images of a man they believe may have information about an attack in High Street at 1.30am on Sunday, November 3.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: "We subsequently received a number of calls and we now believe we’ve identified the man."
He added that the investigation into the assault in which a 32-year-old man was knocked unconscious and sustained a fractured skull is "ongoing".
