MORE than 250 packed into the Batch Country House Hotel and dressed to impress for Somerset Breast Cancer Now’s annual charity ball.

On December 7 visitors enjoyed placing their bets at a casino, live performances from the Riverbrew Band and music from DJ Dave Englefield from Sedgemoor FM.

There was also a charity auction which was supported by comedian Buster Neil Brinson and visitors were treated to a three course meal by chefs at the Batch Hotel.

Holly Macbeth, organiser of the event, said: “It was an amazing evening once again. More than 280 guests enjoyed a fabulous evening of lovely food provided by the fabulous team at the Batch country house hotel and entertainment from The Riverbrew band who brought the house down.

“People had lots of fun in the casino and the guess who raffle and the charity auction was a huge success.

“DJ Dave from Sedgemoor FM was fantastic and kept us dancing until 1am.

“We can’t thank everyone enough for the kind donations of prizes to our raffle and auction and to anyone else who supported the evening.

“It was an amazing evening and so much effort was put in by the team once again to make it a huge success.

“This year we raised a staggering £7266.34. We are thrilled and amazed once again so thank you. We will be hosting our next ball on December 5, 2020.”
