PEOPLE with lots of recycling to take to the tip are being reminded of opening times this new year.
Recycling centres operated by Somerset Waste Partnership (SWP) are open today (December 31) from 9am until 5pm in Bridgwater, Castle Cary, Chard, Cheddar, Frome, Street, Taunton, Williton and Yeovil.
However, they will be CLOSED on Wednesday (New Year's Day), so don't turn up with your Christmas tree that day.
They re-open on Thursday, visit www.somersetwaste.gov.uk for opening times of individual sites.
But all are open from 9am until 4pm on Saturday and Sunday (January 4 and 5).
Meanwhile, kerbside bin collections today (Tuesday) are operating as normal, but those on Wednesday and for the rest of the week will be altered.
The revised timetable is:

Thursday, January 2 – Friday, January 3

Monday, January 6 – Usual services resume
