A TAUNTON based nursery is in the running for a national award.
Highgrove Nursery, which is based at Queen’s College, has been nominated in a category for the National Nursery Recognition Awards.
The setting is up for the ‘Best Team Leader’ award, which will be presented at a gala dinner in Leicester on Saturday (January 18).
There are 17 categories which will be announced at the ceremony.
Each nursery has been nominated by parents and members of their communities.
Highgrove manager, Donna Kershaw, said: “The team is delighted to have been shortlisted for this award.
“We recognise that, during the nursery day, the whole team support and encourage the children to develop their emotional and social skills.
“Our focus as a team is to ensure that the well-being of every child in our care is at the heart of all we do.
“We strive to continually provide a learning environment where both the children and the team have fun.”
