A MAN had to be rescued by firefighters after becoming stuck in his vehicle in floodwater this morning (Monday).
Fire crews were called to the incident neat Frog Lane, Langport, at around 9.29am.
Fire engines from Somerton and Martock were sent to the scene along with the special rescue team from Bridgwater.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Fire crews assisted the occupant from the vehicle to a place of safety, using water rescue equipment.
"He was then taken care of by paramedics. Police also attended."
