A TAUNTON business is offering help to elderly people whose homes have been damaged in the bad weather.

Joseph Smith, from Smiths Contractors, posted the offer on social media, explaining how he wanted to help any elderly people who lived alone who may be struggling as a result of the poor weather.

Throughout February, he will be offering free small repairs.

Mr Smith said: "We are offering small repairs on home gates and and doing driveway leaf clearance for elderly living alone with no one to help them around the Taunton area.
