A WOMAN had to be rescued by firefighter after she got stuck up to her waist in mud.
A fire crew from Somerton was sent after a call about the incident in Whatley, Langport, at 11.27am today (Tuesday).
The special rescue team from Bridgwater and the environmental protection unit from South Molton also attended.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "On arrival crews confirmed that the lady was stuck up to her waist.
"Crews used throw lines to pull her free and she was then left in the care of the Ambulance Service."
