A FEW drinks too many ended up costing a young Taunton man £517.
Elliott Thomas Jaques, 24, up before Taunton Magistrates' Court on Thursday charged with being drunk and disorderly outside his home in Abbey Close, Taunton.
He pleaded guilty to the offence two days after Christmas.
Magistrates fined him £50 and ordered him to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
He was fined an additional £200 for failing to surrender to bail.
And for being in breach of a conditional discharge imposed for being drunk and disorderly on another occasion and for possession of a Class C drug, he was fined a total of £150.
