A POLICE car has become stuck at a Site of Special Scientific Interest after an officer went to investigate reports of an abandonded vehicle.
A social media post by Friends of Quantock posted a tweet saying: "Car abandonded by kids at the weekend after illegally driving on the Site of Special Scientific Interest at Crowcombe Park Gate.
"Police went to take a look now stuck themselves.
"Even bigger recovery vehicle coming now."
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: “We were called to reports of an abandoned car in the Seven Sisters area, shortly after 9am this morning (Monday 24 February).
“Trying to attend the incident, one officer’s vehicle got stuck shortly before 11.50am.
“Recovery assistance was called and is currently on the scene trying to retrieve the vehicle.”
