A DETACHED house near a park could be demolished and replaced by nine flats.
Rohia Developments has submitted a planning application for the scheme on Hamilton Road, Taunton.
It wants to put up three three-storey blocks linked to each other on the 0.13-acre site.
Each home would contain two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and living area.
There would also be 18 cycle parking spaces and electric vehicle charging points.
Rohia director Jason Phillips said: "We're looking to provide high quality rental units close to local amenities.
"We've reviewed the market and are looking to raise the standard.
"We're looking for other opportunities in the future to add to our small portfolio which we have developed whether from scratch or which we have developed.
"We're looking to actively expand over the next three or four years."
Somerset West and Taunton Council planners will rule on the application at a later date.
