A PUB has sold for less than half the price being asked for it two years ago.
The Halfway House in Connah’s Quay went under the hammer at a Pugh Auctions sale in the AJ Bell Stadium in Greater Manchester, and was sold to an unnamed buyer for £232,000.
When it was first put on the market in 2018 the guide price was £600,000.
The former pub, which closed in 2018, will be sold with its premises licence included.
However, the listing says the property may be suitable for change of use or development subject to the necessary consents.
It is described as an extensive vacant former public house with basements, a four bedroom managers apartment, beer garden and car park.
A petition had recently been started to see the Halfway House reopen as a pub.
