THE Inner Wheel Club of Taunton Vale celebrated its 25th Charter Anniversary with a dinner at Oake Manor Golf Club on Wednesday last week.
Members welcomed partners and guests from other clubs in No. 20 District of Inner Wheel.
Chief Guests included District Chairman Ann Adams and President of the Rotary Club of Taunton Vale, David Montgomery.
The first President of the Club in 1982, Jo Andrew and the District Extension Officer at that time, who later became Inner Wheel International Secretary, Margaret Palmer, were also present.
The speaker was musician and opera conductor Peter Clarke, who spoke and entertained with great humour in his talk A View from the Pit'.
The enjoyable evening recalled friendships and achievements of the club during the last 25 years, in addition to looking forward to events which have been arranged for the future.
This year they will be supporting the new Children's Hospice, Charlton Farm and the Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment (SURE).
Their first fund raiser for the Children's Hospice will be a professional Opera Gala to be held in Queen's Hall on Sunday, January 13.
