AN ICONIC pub on Minehead seafront has been sold to new owners who intend to turn it into an indoor retail market.
The Queens Hall has been sold by Carter Jonas.
Over the years the venue has been an amusement arcade, indoor market and more recently a sports bar.
The property on the ground floor includes a bar facility and on the first floor a VIP lounge with a terrace overlooking the sea.
On the second floor there is a one bed managers flat which was internally accessed.
At lower ground floor level there is another bar which was fitted out as a nightclub.
Stephen Richards, Associate Partner with Carter Jonas said: “The Queens Hall is a landmark building and originally was a cinema and we received strong interest and more than 70 viewings of the property before agreeing a sale.
"The potential purchasers ranged from a cinema, amusement arcade, children’s soft play and has now been sold to an operator that is going to run it as an indoor retail market.”
