TWO people had to be released from vehicles following a crash in Minehead this morning (Friday, March 6).
Firefighters, police and ambulance were sent to the scene in The Avenue, Minehead shortly before 11am after two vehicles were involved in a collision.
The firefighters managed to stablise the vehicles and were able to safely remove one of the casualties on a stretcher.
The second casualty however needed help from ambulance paramedics, and so it was agreed that the safest way to extricate the person would be fully remove the roof of the vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment.
Both casualties were conveyed to hospital via road ambulances, while fire crews made the vehicles and scene safe.
Duty of care was then left with the police.
