A PERSON had to be released from their vehicle by firefighters following a crash involving a lorry and a car in Taunton this morning (Sunday, March 8).
The crash happened at around 10.15am in Ashbourne Crescent, Taunton.
Two fire engines and a heavy rescue unit from Taunton Fire Station were sent to the scene.
A spokesman for the fire service confirmed one person was trapped in the lorry, and crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to cut the door from the vehicle and release the casualty.
The person was then treated by the ambulance service while the fire service made both the vehicles safe.
