WHICH genius at Somerset Waste Partnership thought it would be a good idea to stick non removable and non-recyclable, yellow tape all over the bins of Taunton?
It seems that if they feel you have not recycled enough they will try to shame you into doing better.
Maybe they could try doing better themselves by:
Collecting plastics and cartons and not forcing people to burn fossil fuels in driving these items to the recycling centre.

Collecting garden waste for free, as happens in many other areas. It's self funding as the extra waste makes extra compost which is sold at a profit.
Not distributing booklets made of non-recyclable materials.
Get your own house in order and then try persuasion, not bullying.
