RESIDENTS will not be able to access Household Waste Recycling Centres after the county council announced the closure of all facilities this morning (Tuesday).
Hampshire County Council (HCC) had initially introduced a set of restrictions which would enable the centres to remain open and operate safely for visitors and staff.
The restrictions were brought in on Monday but after the government stepped up measures to tackle the spread of coronavirus, including a ban on public gatherings of more than two people, HCC followed suit.
A brief message shared on the authority’s Facebook page this morning read: “Following the Prime Minister’s announcement last night, all of our Household Waste Recycling Centres will now be closed until further notice.”
