WELLS MP James Heappey has sent a message of support to the Prime Minister as he fights coronavirus in intensive care.

On Monday evening (April 6) Downing Street said the PM was moved to the unit on the advice of his medical team after fighting the virus for ten days while self isolating at home.

Mr Johnson has asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab to deputise where required.

In a Wells MP James Heappey said: "I am deeply concerned about the news that the Prime Minister has been transferred to intensive care.

"He is in the best possible hands and there is no better place for him to be as he battles against Covid-19.

"Kate and I are sending all our love and cares to Boris and Carrie. We hope that he'll make a quick recovery and that they'll be reunited as soon as possible."
