A MOTORCYCLIST has died following a crash on the road between Cannington and Combwich yesterday afternoon (Sunday, April 12).
Police were called to reports of a serious incident involving a motorcyclist at about 3.30pm.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "A motorcyclist was in collision with a building which carries out car servicing, near to Cannington Grain.
"Despite receiving treatment at the scene the motorcyclist sadly died shortly afterwards.
"The road has been closed to allow collision investigators to carry out a detailed examination of the scene."
The road remained closed for several hours.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact them.
They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has mobile phone or dashcam footage of the incident.
