A TAUNTON man who has cerebral plasy has been inspired Captain Tom Moore to take on a fundraising challenge.
Tom Lewis, 37, lives in Priorswood in Taunton.
He has cerebral palsy and is non-verbal, and uses an electronic wheelchair.
Tom was inspired after seeing his Captain Tom Moore capture the nation's hearts as he did 100 laps of his garden for his 100th birthday for the NHS, which has raised a staggering £28m to date.
Mr Lewis decided he wanted to try and contribute himself, and so over the past few week he has been doing laps of his garden.
The aim is to complete a marathon distance, which will consist of 17,000 laps.
His challenge is being supported by Voyage Care, and he has already raised £1,295 for the Love Musgrove Covid-19 appeal.
