You could be forgiven for thinking you were seeing things when your letters were delivered in Taunton this week.

Several postal delivery staff have been donning fancy dress to pop your mail through your letterboxes.

As well as bringing a smile to people during lockdown, they're hoping to raise at least £1,000 for the Love Musgrove Covid-19 Response Fund to support staff at Musgrove Park Hospital.

Postie Evette Chapman said: "We are here to support the NHS staff at Musgrove and will continue to do so during this difficult situation.

"Staff are working incredibly hard to keep us safe. Their dedication, commitment and passion to deliver exceptional care during this unprecedented period is truly inspirational and we are extremely proud of them.

"We at Taunton Royal Mail want to give something back to our local hospital and say a big thank you from everyone for everything they are doing.

"And if we can put a smile on our customers' faces while raising money, then that's worth going to work for."
