AS my wife and I walked through the village on VE Day, we came across a street party which on the face of it looked lovely; music, food, drinks, and children mixing and playing.
Once passed, we looked at each other and wondered if we had just arrived on a plant free of Covid 19 restrictions!
No, we had not, and 623 people lost their lives on that same day.
Is it a South West thing that we think it won't get us, it won't come this far west?

I expect these very same people will be in the street clapping for the NHS when the best thing they can do for the NHS is stay safe and do the right thing following government advice.
We have now changed to 'stay alert' with slightly relaxed regulations, so who knows how these people will interpret the new rules?
