POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault in a car park in a picturesque West Somerset village.
The incident happened in the Doverhay car park off of Porlock High Street at around 11am on Wednesday, May 13 - the first day the lockdown restrictions were eased across England.
Police confirmed that the incident involved a man and a woman.
Anyone who witnessed the assault or saw an altercation is asked to call 101 quoting the crime reference number 5220/103690.
