REFUSE collectors abandoned pick ups in three areas yesterday (Monday).
A spokesman for Somerset Waste Partnership said collections were missed in two Taunton streets because of "access issues due to poor parking".
The locations in the county town were Fowler Street and Firepool.
Crews were also unable to make collections in the Noah's Hill/Red Hill area of West Monkton due to roadworks.
The spokesman said: "Where possible, crews will try to return to complete the collections.
"If waste trucks cannot get through, other vehicles - especially fire engines - may struggle."
