Fire crews rush to scene after reports of car alight in Taunton road
FIREFIGHTERS rushed to a scene in Taunton last night after reports of a vehicle going up in flames.
One fire crew from Taunton was sent to the scene in Belvedere Road.
They were called out at shortly after 10pm yesterday (May 22).
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival crews found one vehicle well alight, and set to work using two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire."
When the fire was put out, the crew reported 50 per cent severe damage to the car.
