THE coronavirus crisis has delayed sentencing of Wessex Water for two breaches of the law.
The water company has admitted the offences in Norton Fitzwarren on May 7 last year and was due in court last week.
It pleaded guilty at a previous hearing to failing to install traffic signs to inform members of the public while work was being carried out in Collett Road.
The firm also admitted "opening up the street" when it had placed a notice saying it would only be putting up signage.
Magistrates said they could not proceed with the case last week due to the Covid-19 situation and adjourned it to June 29, with a sentencing date to be fixed.
