A MOTORHOME has been stolen from the Blackdown Hills - and it could have been taken at any time during the coronavirus lockdown.

Avon and Somerset Police officers are searching for the culprit, after the vehicles owner discovered it was gone.

The white Ford Rancher motorhome was taken from a plot of land in the Widcombe Farm area, near Culmhead, where it was left while awaiting remedial work.

The owner had not visited the vehicle while the country was in lockdown, so it could have been taken at any point between March 1 and May 17.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We’re appealing for help to trace a vehicle which has been stolen from the Taunton area.

"The white Ford Rancher motorhome (pictured) was taken between 1 March and 17 May from the Culmhead, near Otterford.

"It had been parked in a plot of land in the Widcombe Farm area, awaiting some remedial work, while the owner remained in lockdown.

"When the owner returned he discovered the vehicle had been taken.

"We are keen to help trace the vehicle and would appeal to anyone who may have seen the vehicle or know of its current location.

"It is likely the vehicle was taken from the site in Culmhead on a trailer."
