SOMERSET has seen a small increase in coronavirus cases.
The latest statistics (May 28) show a total of 679 people in the county have tested positive for Covid-19 - an increase of two from yesterday.
Across the UK, there have been 269,127 positive cases, and 37,837 people have sadly died.
Of those who have sadly passed away, 67 have been within Somerset NHS trusts.
Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Musgrove Park Hospital, has seen 43 deaths, Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has seen 21 deaths, and Weston Area NHS Trust has seen three.
The latest two confirmed cases of the virus have been with Somerset West and Taunton and Sedgemoor.

Mendip 63
Elsewhere in the area, North Somerset has 427 positive cases on record, and Bath and North East Somerset has 231.
