SHOPPERS could soon see some big changes at The Range store at Beech Business Park in Bridgwater.
The company has submitted a planning application this week to change up to 250 square metres of the store to sell a range of food and drink products.
The Range is planning on introducing the sale of a limited stock of food products - mainly frozen - into several of its stores.
The company states that the food section of the store will contain freezer cabinets, chiller cabinets selling items including cheese, meat and dairy products, a range of tinned and packet goods, a small selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages as well as a limited range of household products such as soap, loo rolls and toothpaste.
In total the food section will comprise 6.4 per cent of the ground floor space within the existing store.
The plan does not require any external changes to the building, nor any changes to the car parking layout.
