Police were called at around 8.08pm to the B3292 at Higher Treluswell, not far from the Treluswell Roundabout.
The coastguard helicopter was also scrambled.
One witness initially said they saw it land at Penryn Football Club but others have since suggested it was the cricket club.
A police spokesperson said: "This collision involved a motor vehicle and a pedal cycle.
"As a result of this collision a 15-year-old local male was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries."
