THERE were no new confirmed coronavirus cases in Somerset in the latest 24-hour period.
The figures to 5pm yesterday (Wednesday) represent the second consecutive day without any new cases reported.
The only downside was one Covid-19 related death in the county council area in the same 24-hour period.
Overall there have been 65 confirmed cases in Mendip; 221 in Sedgemoor; 306 in Somerset West and Taunton; and 197 in South Somerset.
That adds up to a total of 789 confirmed cases recorded in the county.
