I WRITE following your recent report about holding back improvements to the Creech Castle road junction to assist the town's recovery, post Covid-19.
A fine idea to help the town improve/ regenerate.
What does concern me is the county councillor's assertion that the changes proposed will improve both cyclists and pedestrians safety.

How does replacing an existing footbridge across the whole carriageway with traffic controlled staggered pedestrian crossings, across six lanes of fast moving traffic, qualify as an improvement?
Planning madness or a financial expediency due to cost factors. Would the learned councillor care to respond?
