A NEW Covid-19 cases has been confirmed in Somerset.
A person in the South Somerest district tested positive for the virus on the 24-hour period to 5pm yesterday (Monday), according to Public Health England.
Over the same period there were no coronavirus deaths in the county council area, according to NHS England.
The latest new case means there have been a total of 795 confirmed cases of Covid-19 detected in the county.
Of those, 66 have been in Mendip; 222 in Sedgemoor; 308 in Somerset West and Taunton; and 199 in South Somerset.
