A DISHWASHER fire caused damage to a home.
The incident saw three fire crews and a supporting officer sent to a property in Rowlands Rise, Puriton, at around 6.30pm on Tuesday evening (June 23).
"The fire service was called to a report of a kitchen on fire within a property at the above location," said a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
"Three fire engines from Bridgwater and a supporting officer attended this incident.
"On arrival crews confirmed there was smoke issuing from the ground floor kitchen."
They said after the fire was controlled, 10% damage was done to the kitchen and 20% smoke damage to the remainder of the property.
The cause of the fire was accidental, they added.
