A TAUNTON pub has outlined the arrangements it is putting in place for when it re-opens on Saturday.

The Ring of Bells, in St James Street, will open from Wednesdays to Saturdays between 11am and 11pm.

It hopes to be able to open on Mondays and Tuesdays in the near future.

Following the three-month lockdown, a social media post says: "It has been an odd few months without seeing you all and we are very much looking forward to welcoming everybody back through our doors to enjoy our new summer menu and the usual great selection of ales, wines and spirits.

"You will of course experience some changes to the pub - as advised by the Government - in order to safeguard both yourselves, our valued customers, and our Ring of Bells staff."

To ensure people's safety, there will be:

*a limited number of customers allowed in the pub at any one time;

*registration on entry;

*table service only;

*social distancing;

*sanitising stations;

*payment by card only.

People are advised to book if they wish to have lunch or dinner as seating capacity has been greatly reduced.
