ANOTHER person has tested positive for Covid-19 in Somerset in the latest figures released by Public Health England.
The new confirmed coronavirus case was in the Somerset West and Taunton district in the 24 hour period to 5pm yesterday.
Earlier in the day, NHS England announced there had been no coronavirus related deaths in the county over the same period.
It means there have now been 799 cases recorded in the area covered by Somerset County Council.
Of those, 67 have been in Mendip; 222 in Sedgemoor; 311 in Somerset West and Taunton; and 199 in South Somerset.
