Man's death at Shapwick Heath National Nature Reserve 'not suspicious'

A member of the public reported discovering the dead man at Shapwick Heath National Nature Reserve.

Officers attended the scene, between Shapwick and Westhay, following the call on Saturday afternoon.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: "We attended Shapwick Heath National Nature Reserve on Saturday afternoon (June 27), following a call from a member of the public who reported finding a man’s body.

"The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious and we’ll be carrying out any further enquiries on behalf of the Coroner’s office."
