THE cinema chain that runs venues in Falmouth, Helston, Redruth, Penzance and across the south west has announced its reopening plans.
Merlin Cinemas says that it will reopen the Regal in Redruth on Friday, July 10, in a scaled-down way – with a mix of recent and classic films on offer.
Films will be shown in screen seven, with the audience spaced out by at least one metre.
The bar and restaurant will be open, with the active screen located above it.
An enhanced cleaning regime is also in place, with hand sanitising stations around the venue.
Advance booking is advised and card payments are encouraged.
The rest of the group's cinemas, bars and restaurants – including the main building at Redruth – will return in a few weeks' time, it said.
Those include the Phoenix at Falmouth, Flora in Helston, Royal St Ives and Savoy at Penzance.
For the first week at Redruth all tickets will be £5 – or £3 for Movie Magic members.
