A GROUP of youths running around naked in a field were "disturbing livestock", according to police.

Officers were sent to the incident on private land in West Monkton early on Wednesday morning.

It is believed there were about 10 young people streaking in the area.

Officers were unable to locate the group.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokeswoman said: "Police responded to a report of a group of about 10 teenagers running around on private land in West Monkton, Somerset, disturbing livestock.

"The call came in at about 7.30am on Wednesday 8 July.

"Officers attended and searched the area, speaking with residents and dog walkers, but were unable to locate the group."
