A MAN from Falmouth has been killed in a crash on the A38 in south east Cornwall.

Police said they were called to a three-vehicle crash at around 3.45pm on Monday on the A38 Glynn Valley, near Two Waters Foot.

The vehicles involved were a white Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van, a white Citroen Relay van and a silver Ford Mondeo.

The driver of the Mondeo, a 62-year-old man from Falmouth, was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.

His next-of-kin have been informed.

The other occupants of the vehicles sustained minor injuries.

Specialist officers from Devon & Cornwall Police’s Alliance Roads Policing Team attended as well as a forensic collision investigator and a scenes of crime officer.

A police spokesperson said: "A full investigation of the scene took place and officers are working to establish the cause of the collision.

"Police would like to thank the public for their patience while they investigated the scene.
