TAUNTON'S Cosy Club has brought forward its re-opening date following lockdown.
The bar/restaurants in Hunts Court, Corporation Street, will be serving up drinks and meals from Wednesday next week (July 29).
It had previously been set to start trading in August for the first time in more than four months.
But the owners now feel confident that sufficient safety measures are in place to welcome back customers earlier than originally planned.
Taunton will be joined next week in admitting customers again by Cosy Club outlets in Bournemouth, Derby, Exeter, Hereford, Ipswich and Worcester
A total of 13 Cosy Clubs in other areas such as Liverpool, Birmingham, Manchester and Plymouth opened their doors on Wednesday, July 8.
Six more such as Bath, Leeds and York welcomed back customers a week later.
Venues in Cardiff and Cardiff Bay will re-open on Monday, August 3, while a new Cosy Club is opening in Brindleyplace, Birmingham, on August 11 and the company is awaiting government guidelines in Leicester.
In a video message to customers, the Cosy Club says: "We can't wait to welcome you back.
"We want to ensure you're comfortable when you do visit again,
"So, we have ten surefire ways to look after you to keep you safe."
It then lists the safety measures it will put in place to keep people safe.
