THERE were new confirmed Covid-19 cases in three of the four districts in Somerset in the latest 24-hour period.
There were two positive tests in Somerset West and Taunton and one each in Mendip and South Somerset up to 5pm yesterday (Wednesday).
Sedgemoor was the only district in the county council area not to have any new cases.
There were no coronavirus related deaths over the same period.
The overall total of cases recorded in the county has now risen to 1,298.
Of those, 126 are in Mendip; 393 in Sedgemoor; 445 in Somerset West and Taunton; and 334 in South Somerset.
